The Yoga Bar is a revolutionary concept brought to us by the mastermind behind Gwingana Lifestyle Retreat. It is a combination of a yoga/pilates/barre studio, an active wear boutique, and a healthy/raw food bar all under one roof in the centre of the CBD. It has become my new go-to place in the city for a healthy lunch or an afternoon snack. In fact, my workmates and I have been there almost every day since it opened! As soon as walking into the clean, vibrant and calming studio space you immediately feel as though you’re no longer in the busy city. It is definitely the place to go if you’re needing to blow off some steam.Their staff are all ridiculously friendly and are very helpful when asked about all their food options. They are very accommodating to alterations and will ensure you leave with exactly what you were after. As for their food, I can highly recommend the following;- Raw brownie. It has become one of my favourite raw treats and is perfectly moist!- Raw Caramel Slice. Very rich and sweet, but nonetheless full of flavour and delicious. However, I can usually only handle 3 small bits of this and can’t finish a whole one! Best to share with a friend (especially for the price of $7)- Chai latte made with coconut milk. Their chai isn’t usually made with coconut milk, but you can ask for it and they’ll happily make it! I have tried it with almond milk too, but the coconut milk is simply delicious with it. Add honey too!- Clean lean Veg Salad. WOW. This has got to be my favourite of the bunch! It’s healthy salads, vegetables and a boiled egg mixed with quinoa and a homemade pesto. This salad will blow the minds of any health enthusiasts.- Cacao Crunch Smoothie. Seriously good. I add vanilla protein to it, which I think makes it that little bit more creamy!Above all, The Yoga Bar is a place worth visiting if you’re in the city and a health enthusiast. I am currently nursing an injured hip, however, as soon as I’m better I will definitely be partaking in weekly yoga classes! I can’t wait!
