Lunch specials are what I have been there for and they are absolutely Great..Not too full and the Chef uses the Teppanyaki as a theatre and add to the great food !

Regal. Exotic. Luxurious. It’s the only way to describe the ten course menu of degustation. See the menu attached. No words. Inspired by cuisines from Niigata, dishes are prepared in front of you (see instagram video). The service is at a different level than most in sync with cooking timings passively clearing the canvas in time for the next dish. Well presented, meticulously thought out and superior experience all round. thenextrushmagazine.com

A group of 6 of us went to Kobe Jones Teppanyaki for lunch this afternoon (Friday), in response to their online special offer. We arrived there before 12:00 noon and were the first customers. We were placed to sit around the teppanyaki table. When we placed our order – 6 Wagyu burger (online offer printed off at $14.95), we were denied by the waitress who pointed us to their hardcopy menu – $19.95. We reasoned with her and she talked to her manager and then agreed to honour the online deal.(Questions : Why does the waitress ignorant of their online deal ? Why don’t they update their menu ?)Then we placed our 6 x Wagyu burger – one for each of us. We were immediately refused by the teppanyaki chef – he said that they did not have 6 no. of wagyu burgers to serve and he suggested us to accept a mix of beef and chicken burgers instead. At this point we decided to leave. We lost our desire to eat here and decided never to come back again. Why would the restaurant did not have 6 burgers for the first batch of customers on a busy Friday lunch hours in the Whart area – everywhere around were filled with eaters. The immediate refusal from the teppanyaki chef and his suggestion means a cost-cutting and avoidance of their online deal. I can’t believe a chef would suggest this us and not the manager. All the time the manager never showed himself/herself to us.This place is a shame.

Had one of the set menus with upgraded wagyu beef, was really looking forward to it but the wagyu definitely did not taste fresh nor did it melt in your mouth at all.. was super chewy and hard to swallow down. Out of the 12 course meal I had, only 3 dishes were enjoyable. The flaming number 1, the crepes and the sashimi although when the sashimi came out only 2 out of the 3 of us had dressing on our sashimi. Cocktails were way too sweet as well.

First time having tepenyaki. Had the Barra and Wagyu course. Loved all the dishes especially the wagyu, however the rice was average. Service was good and the chef was entertaining. Only negative part was the wait time even though it was on a tuesday night. Food coma by the end of it.Cheers wharf x

Food was great. I ordered the surf n turf menu set which is the second mose expensive one so if you guys are keen for some wagyu beef and lobster i sa go for it. I felt like i enjoyed the entertainment than the food though, the chef was super nice and interactive with the customers. Overall i would say it was an enjoyable experience since its my first time.

Pretty good place for tepannyaki, worth it if you have a groupon voucher! The lobster tail, beef tenderloin and no.1 special are the best dishes here. The beef is nice and juicy, not the best cut in terms of marbling etc but a decent size. The no 1 special is amazing, make sure you get your camera ready for the fire!Everything else was also great, the fried rice, dessert and alaskan king crab are also cooked very well and the chef is really nice and friendly.Overall gd value for money if you get the viucher and you definately leave full recommend if u have voucher only!
