I have tried their Hainan chicken and it was pretty decent. the chicken was tender and they also added some sauted veggies to it which was good as a side. I have also tried their spicy tofu and crispy beans with fried rice and that too was good. it’s now one of my new for lunch to go places.
Location is convenient for us since its just a few blocks away from loft. Their Special Combination Pho (A4) was good and I was satisfied. I also loved their sauce, not sure though if its Sriracha. Eating their pho, warm & spicy was just timely since its winter when we came here, it helped me fight off the chills. My family enjoyed the food as well, they also assumed the chef/owner was Filipino since the curry tastes like it was cooked from our home in the Philippines
More of a 3.5 but compared to other Vietnamese places in CBD, near Wynyard, I would say this is the best, especially in terms of variety on the menu. Since this is close to my office, I go there a lot for lunch. Tried their banh mi, pho, vermicelli salad, spring rolls and Vietnamese rolls. They’re all good and I never had a bad meal from there. The food is authentic, tasty and feels fairly fresh and healthy. I would say the pho is their best item. Not too salty and a big portion. They’re on Groupon too so for $7.50, you can get a pho or vermicelli salad with a bottle of water. Definitely a great deal! It can get quite busy during lunch time to eat in as it’s not a big place. The queues are not too bad for takeaway and the service is quick. For a light, healthy and quick meal, I tend to go for the Vietnamese rolls as they are quite big and cheap and come in a pack of 3 in various flavours.
A really busy little joint with the lunch crowd packing in. They do both take away and eat in. I ate there with a friend on a weekday and we sat next to this electronic numbering system where it beeps when a number is called. It was really loud. The whole place was really loud.My bowl of pho was delicious, a decent amount of rare beef, noodles and broth. Pricing wasnt bad for me… but i know my parents would never pay more than $10 for a bowl. The second time i came here i purchased a groupon voucher for $7.5 which gave me a choice of vietnamese salad or pho with a bottle of water. I picked the vietnamese salad with chicken to go. The chicken was still nice and warm, tender and full of flavour. The salad consist of what i believe to be bean sprouts… those green leaves that goes in your pho and… cabbage? Once the sauce was added and the salad was mixed. It was really good. Would i get it again? Yes already purchased another groupon voucher.I would go back and pay full price for the pho without groupon. But i dont think i will for the salad.Overall food was decent and i couldnt find too much to fault theweekendfoodieeats.blogspot.com
