Love a surprise. John and I misunderstood each other – mostly my lack of understanding – but he was keen to make my experience a good (great) one. He sent a special pastry with my coffee order to simply make my day. The pumpkin soup was fantastic as well. First rate service (and he knew many of his customer by name!). I’ll be a regular when I’m in the area for sure!!!
Coffee here is very average and quite tasteless. You can tell not much time is spent getting the milk right. Coffee machine definitely needs a clean too as you are left with a very grainy taste in the end. Food is typical cafe food and not much to rave about. Nice cafe for the locals but not the best in the area.
Small portions and very very basic food. The food is awful not the taste but the portion sizes for what you pay. One time I had a salami panini which contained one slice of salami and one spinach leaf and 2 olives fit between two slices of bread and then I got poached eggs with spinach and mushrooms which was a barely cooked clump of baby spinach and 6 very small pieces of mushroom which I could barely split over my two poached eggs. I go here because it’s local and always regret it would not recommend!! It’s not worth your money, I could have made a much better meal at home however service is great
Nice service, poor food. Service was very good, but the quality of food is below average, not even something as simple as banana breads.

Mixed Feelings, we were in a large group and we all ordered at separate time s but on the same table number. Even though my partner and I were not the last to order our meals were delivered 15 minutes after everyone else’s.1 of the wait staff was not overly friendly and if she had not cared anymore would have practically thrown the food on the table.On the plus side the food was very good as was the coffee. It was very busy so i will give them the benefit of the doubt but just something to be mindful of/I will give them another go because the food was very good and the prices are actually pretty decent.
Being a local resident, I must say I love Lucy’s. Tasty food in a relaxing environment, good coffee, and staff are great. Wish they had dinner here, boy does Sylvania need an upmarket diner! Hurry up Lucy’s bring some dinner on!
