Come here! Stopped here on the way to Sydney for a gig. Looking for a quick bite we weren’t disappointed with the quick but friendly service. We were very satisfied with the authentic Greek food on offer. We chose the eclectic open plate which had generous amounts of tender tasty meat, well seasoned potato chips, delicious tzatziki, perfectly toasted pita bread and an authentic Greek salad. Could not fault anything on the plate and the value for money was excellent. The menu had a lot of other tasty looking dishes so we decided to try another, the grilled haloumi plate, it was perfectly salty and served with generous amounts of olive oil, oregano and lemon just like in Greece. The owners were super friendly and just as welcoming as any Greek restaurant in Greece itself. Looking forward to returning for some yummy Greek food and hospitality.

Absolutely love this place! We are from the northern beaches but we always make sure we stop in here every time we go down south as the food and staff are just incredible! Have already recommended to many friends and will keep doing so! Can’t wait for our next trip down south so we can come back, I look forward to it every time! Thank you!!!

I have been to a few gyros/yiros locations and Ella Gyros has to be my fave. Flavors are consistent, generious servings and great service. A must to attend 🙂

The staff were extremely friendly. Rather than let us decide what we wanted (which would have been a while, we don’t do Greek food! the staff explained all their options and even offered a taste test to help us decide. But that’s just the tip of the amazing service iceberg. The food itself was exquisite. The servings were generous. And they can do haloumi cheese. I will definitely be back.

I don’t know Greek however the warm family atmosphere and home made feta sauce was devine, it’s my new hangover place cause the food is epic and I really enjoy everything going in and speaking with Steve and Athena about trying new Greek food

The straw that broke the Camels back!. After reading the positive reviews on their Facebook page, we thought we would give this place a go.With memories of great Gyros & Souvlaki in Melbourne & overseas, we decided to see if this place really did deliver what it said it did…If your going expecting value for money, coupled with great tasting food, you will probably walk away as we did, disappointed. The positives first…The meat was ok, (not spit roasted over coals), rather kebab shop style. That is where the positives end…The negatives…There was honestly 1 half of a piece of tomato on each of our wraps, whereas the pictures displayed lettuce, cucumber, tomato & onion. There was however plenty of onion…No!There was a lot of tzatziki sauce, which I didn’t mind, but it really did swamp the wrap of any other flavour. Some cold chips were also placed in the wrap…Whilst not many, they were not necessary. (makes me think they were trying to save room for extra meat)The wrap itself was ok, but way too thick.I guess lastly, $30 for two Gyros wrap/Chips/Drink combos, certainly isn’t value for money, that said, compared with Macca’s, its on par. That really sums it up…If your looking for an alternative to Macca’s, KFC or the like, then you will probably like this place. If your looking for a fresh, succulent meat filled Gyros wrap, this sadly will not satisfy you, and will leave you with a feeling of being ripped off, and wishing you had gone to Woolies and bought $30 worth of meat & salad and knocked up your own delicious lunch! If you lower your expectations, and don’t mind blowing a chuck of cash on a very average meal, this place fits the bill. There is room for improvement, i.e. lower the price, spit roast the meat over coals, put some love into assembling the wrap…Etc.Sadly, as we’ve discovered though, most people (us included), will pay top dollar for below average food here in Australia. Not any more…Home cooking all the way now. Been disappointed too many times, hence the title of this review!
