Great food and service; not quite a wine bar. Visiting the Manning Valley for the weekend from Sydney and we stopped into Martine’s for dinner.The food was great pub fare.For the entrée I had the calamari, which was lovely and tender with a house-made tartare sauce.For the main I had the scotch fillet, which was a generous serving and came cooked as requested.The table service on offer was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.I can certainly appreciate what the owners are trying to say by calling this venue a ‘wine bar’ – that is, this is a pleasantly different product to a country pub, though they only had a small handful of local wines on offer (four or five each of red and white) which were quite enjoyable but that is no different to any other pub and not strong enough to live up to the designation of ‘wine bar’. Hopefully this aspect of the business will expand as this bar has a lot going for it in all other aspects.Looking forward to visiting again!
