Very little was open for dinner on a Monday night in Taree, but on the recommendation of our motel receptionist, we ended up at Sailos.Very friendly, welcoming staff.Great location right on the river with lovely water views, though from the street it looked dark and closed.We enjoyed local oysters kilpatrick for entree, then our massive mains were served.I had the chicken boscaioli, which was beautifully cooked, moist chicken breast, with masses of creamy sauce with mushrooms. Accompanied by a large side salad and chips I couldn’t manage to fit in.He had the rump steak with mushroom sauce & vege. Again, it was a massive meal, though the vegies were well overcooked. The steak was also overcooked, but enjoyable nonetheless. (Medium, as opposed to the requested medium/rare.)Cost of our meals was $62.
