An amazing place to eat. Definitely surprised me what a great venue this was. Located on Mona Vale Road, you would need to seek this restaurant out as it definitely a destination restaurant. Once youre here it worth it. On this Sunday lunchtime, it was quite busy and buzzing with lots of families enjoying their Indian lunch. They dont hold back on the spices for the western palate and enjoyed their authenticity. Service was wonderful and couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful. We started off with some papadums that were served with mint sauce, beetroot yoghurt, salsa, and kachumber. Lovely dips that were tasty and great start to the meal. The Maharaja Kebab Platter was a success. It gives the group a chance to sample the best of the tandoori selection. You got to try the chicken and lamb (kebab style), lamb cutlets, barramundi, prawns, and chicken. Each varied in spice level but all were well cooked and yummy. The spiced didnt overpower any of the items and enhanced it all. The highlight of the lunch was The Urban Agari Lobster. Sweet succulent lobster pieces in a well spiced sauce, the presentation and flavours were on point. Although spicy it didnt overpower the lobster in any way and I usually dont enjoy spice but this was a triumph in my eyes. Also had the Kesari Lamb Sufiyana and tender pieces of lamb in a mild cashew cream gravy. Our basmati rice soaked up all the delicious sauce. The cheese naan was quite good too. Dessert was a brilliant platter and our favourite was definitely the Pistachio Kulfi. There were also other kulfis and cakes on there too. Wonderful place to have lunch and wish it was my local and it would be a treat to have it as such. Thewhereto
