A beautiful winery to visit when you are in Gerringong, either trying out the wines or dining at their restaurant, this place is a must visit! If dining, it’s better to come here for lunch to admire the amazing view of the vineyard & Gerringong mountain landscape, the view will certainly take your breath away. We drove here in the afternoon to try the wine tastings (my pick is the Black Top Cab Sav!) and my boyfriend and I stayed for a bit to stay there take in the amazing location.. Then when I saw the menu I thought we should try out the food (Chef de Cuisine is Coop Woodstone, former Masterchef contestant) so came back here for dinner. It was amazing food, but sadly wish we did come here for lunch instead as the ambience certainly does change at night time.. The food however was great – I recommend the salmon & chive terrine for entree, satisfyingly good for the taste buds! And both the crisp pork belly and ocean trout were delicious as well.Definitely do find the time to visit Crooked River Winery while in Gerringong, we will be telling people in Sydney about this gem, and certainly will visit the restaurant again on our next road trip to the South Coast!

New Restaurant – Amazing!. Lobster bisque, pork belly with scallops and quinoa crumb, mushroom and truffle risotto, grass fed sous vide fillet w lentils, speck and cream. And possibly the most amazing views of Willowvale and Gerringong. New chef Coop Woodstone (is that for real?) delivered food for our group as amazing as it sounded. This venue needed something special and now it has it. Also so relieved to see the classy labels on the wines after all these years. Enjoyed the Savagnin. The sign out the front says opening in 2014 and needs to go, but it was packed out for Sunday lunch with Kiama area locals. Our new favourite.

Beautiful afternoon. Really lovely, tasty food and amazing view. Well priced for the quality and portion sizes. Can’t wait to return.

Winery with restaurant attached. Some excellent wines. Highly connend the 2010 Blacktop Cabernet Sauvignon. We chose the tapas platter for two, which at $63 is quite reasonable. Buy your wine at the cellar door, then head into the restaurant for lunch. We booked ahead, which is probably a good idea. Restaurant is modern and simple in decor. Tapas platter can only be described as SENSATIONAL! Char grilled bell peppers and char grilled aubergine with olive oil and balsamic were heavenly. Salt and pepper Chilli squid was divine and was garnished with a marinated seaweed. A half dozen of the pesto prawns were perfect. Chef’s signature pork belly is so inspired and melts in the mouth something everyone must try. Served with plenty of grilled ciabatta bread which goes very well with the olive tapenade and chicken liver cognac pate. Would I come here again? DEFINITELY! Would I drive from Sydney JUST for lunch here? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend this place to friends? OF COURSE! Will I be back? I don’t want to leave!
