Needs Some Renovation…This club was literally up the road from our holiday house. I cant recall which night we were there but it was empty and it seemed a bit old and required some updating and renovations. According to some young youth sitting outside the night before there were over 100 people on the grounds and there was a live band.If you are within proximity of this establishment then perhaps a quick beer here would not hurt. I saw some people having a meal and the food looked enticing. The smoking area outside needs a fair bit of lighting and perhaps security there as well as kids can easily go in and out of that establishment from the parking lot. There is another similar establishment about 5 minutes drive from this location which I would strongly suggest.
What a lovely spot for a meal with friends – good food, well priced drinks and super views. Look forward to further fun in the New Year when we are back in Gerringong.
Not the best. Was after a good family dinner in Gerroa/Gerringong and was disappointed. Need to update from the classic frozen then deep fried Chicken Schnitzel – it was tasteless and not even close to tasting like chicken. Real chicken breast/schnitzel isn’t that expensive to purchase! Fettucini was nice and good serving. But most of all, staff in Bistro were VERY unhelpful when asking about our son’s Egg Allergies. When asked if their nuggets had eggs in the ingredients, the cashier said ‘probably’, didn’t bother to check. Also when asked if the fettucini was Egg-based I got the same answer (again without even checking with the chef). The views were pretty special but that was about it! Understandable that it may be a fairly quiet Club mid-week and off peak, however the club was full of people on Saturday night and food was below average. We alsp had prawns, barramundi and prawn cutlets – all below average. Have had much nicer bistro/family food elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend it until the club updates the quality of it’s menu. Doesn’t have to change the menu, just purchase bettwr quality food!
You’d expect a fisho’s club which is right by the ocean to serve the freshest seafood, and employ people with some knowledge of cooking it. Negative on both counts. The view is ok though
Great view while enjoying decent food. The prices have gone up but it still delivers, however could better their quality on fresh seafood ie oysters/prawns.
