Coffee and Chai Latte were go6id but the undercooked bacon and powdery scrambled eggs really made breakfast a chore and disappointing. The service was slow and it took 3/4 hr before we even got our coffees
We dropped in today on the way home from a fantastic holiday. The look of the cafe was excellent. It was all downhill from there. As a family with three young children, I would have expected to be told there was an extra long wait on food but we weren’t. We order two serves of the daily special which was a triple stack pf pancakes with maple syrup and icecream for the kids to share. At $13.80, we expected the pancakes to be- well….pancakes. I ordered poached eggs with Chirozo sausage on toast and hubby ordered the breakfast plate- usual bacon, fried eggs, beef kebab etc…. No drinks were ordered. We sat in the garden and waited. And waited. And waited. 45 minutes later, our order was served. The three pancake stack, in reality was a three pikelet stack. Served with a teaspoon of maple syrup and one, melted, scoop of icecream. Oh- and a cherry… yep, a random cherry was placed on both plates. My poached eggs were nice. This Chirizo sausage was not actually Chorizo- it was a spicy supermarket processed sausages…..The grilled veges that were randomly added to the plate would have been lovely when they were first grilled, but I got the microwave reheated version- disgusted. And the two pieces of supermarket bread toasted also managed to disappoint. I suppose when you pay $16.50 for a poached egg with Chirizo sausage, you expect a little more thought, effort and quality to be put on the plate… Hubbys breakfast plate looked nice but for the cost ($21) and the wait- totally not worth it. With all the beautiful places in Kiama to eat, we will NOT be giving this cafe a second chance.
Won’t be back. Made to feel very unwelcome by new owner who would not honour the full value of an internet voucher because she said she wasn’t making enough from it. Food not up to standard of previous owners and I cannot recommend this caf in a competitive environment like Kiama. I was an occasional customer but no more.25 Feb, 2015Poor. I’ve had a nicer time sticking pins in my eyes. Food not up to the standard of the previous owners and the new owner was argumentative and refused to honour anywhere near the full value of an internet voucher. The whole lunchtime experience was spoiled and there are many other food outlets in Kiama with better food and service. I was an occasional customer but won’t be back.
Nice little cafe. Mango chicken Salad and Turkey and avocado on Turkish bread was both very delicious. Coffee wasn’t the best tasting, but wasn’t bad either. Good selection of teas and juices. We’d come back
Don’t go there!. Waited I hour for raisin toast. My husband got his meal, then mine never actually came. I got my coffee after my husband had finished his breakfast. My food never arrived. I asked for refund. Terrible service. Waste of money.
Best lamb burger. Stopped in for a quick lunch on the weekend. Had the lamb burger and partner had the sweet chilli chicken burger. We were both very happy with the food, juicy and delicious. Speed of service was fine, though had to request a napkin and it took a while. Would return when next in Kiama.
Average. Pretty pricy for what it is, didn’t get any cashews in my salad so it was basically a big plate of lettuce with some strips of chicken and one cherry tomato cut into 4.. Call me fussy but I like to get exactly what I pay for, even though it’s just some cashews! Service was good though.
