The big value meal can feed a family of four, with some sides. Fish is caught fresh daily and the seafood is cooked well. Table service is welcoming. Long queue if you visit in school holidays.
Some huge festival along the shores was in full swing when we arrived, making parking a big pain in the as*. Of course, i was unaware of the festival, what with music blaring, throngs of crowd and cute little monsters running around n their folks hoping those monsters dont make their way back to them. More Q’s ensued when we fought our way to big tuna, this being the weekend AND winter school holidays. Grrrrr.. and then a 25 min wait for our (huge) fish pack, calamari, whiting, chips etc. Got myself a couple of beers to wait (available in the drinks cooler). Oh my.. the battered fish was one of the best i have tasted. Light coat of batter, just the right crunch (no double frying), no excessive oil, juicy fish fillet ensconced within n the thin batter held almost to the end. I’d stay away from the prawns as they were not fresh at all, probably a result of being less popular than the fish.
This is a funky little fish and chip shop, situated in the entrance mall. The staff where friends, very clean restaurant , the chips where crunchy the grilled barramundi was lovely not over cooked, the fish was a little blend could of done with some herbs and spices! The serving was massive…
The hoki was quite bland and the chips was a cooked a bit rush but everything else is ok. I would recommend the salt and paper or the fillets
Wow really liked it! The big fish pack was big! Really liked the marinated octopus and it was not chewy! Neither was the calamari rings. A whole lot of chips though,it’s family size! My only gripe would be the wait but otherwise this is a great fish and chip options with seating inside
First time visiting entrance, wasn’t expecting much from this place. However, it’s one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. The Salmon was very fresh and juicy. Highly recommend this place.
Best darn fish and chips. Came here with a bunch of mates. Never tasted better fish and chips. Staff are professional, store clean and tidy. 5 stars without a doubt
