Fantastic location – great place to watch the sunset. Not expensive compared to many waterfront seafood places in the area. Excellent crab cakes, among the best I’ve ever had. Grilled fish delicious, very fresh, perfectly cooked. Wine not expensive, not huge range but a decent selection. On Saturday night, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Staff working very hard to handle the busy night. I paid by card. Seems like different management, because not like past reviews at all for us.

Despite the lovely waterside views, the service was rather poor. Wait staff were busy on their phone and service was very slow. The attitude of the waitress (she might have been the owner too as she seemed to be in many places at once) was abrupt. Fish was overcooked. I think the place is understaffed. The other staff looked stressed and unhappy which doesn’t go too well in the workplace.
Came here with a group and found myself in the middle of a circus over treatment of some other guests. I can’t say wether that contributed to the poor service we received but I can say the food was rushed and way over priced When you factor in the lousy disjointed service you’ll do yourself a favor if you skip this place
Very unimpressed with both the service and the food. This would have to be the most unpleasant dining experience I have ever had. My local fish and chip shop make better tasting food at a fifth of the price these people charge. I spoke with the manager Joanne who didn’t seem interested in my experience. She just wanted us to pay and leave. Also couldn’t pay by card, cash only! No reputable business does this.
The employees didn’t know much about their menu and one of the employees were standing right in the middle of the dining area on their phone not serving waiting customers. My partner and I had the lunch specials which were the Crispy Skin Salmon with Chips and just your average Battered Fish with Chips. The battered fish was a disaster, 90% batter 10% fish. What let me down further was the tiny serving of salad and chips to go with it. My partner had the Crispy Skin Salmon which was a lot better only because of Salmon. Other than that the serving of salad and chips was the same and the only highlight of my time being there was sipping on a fresh orange juice staring at a water view.
Fluffy vegetarian omelette. Got our order wrong but fixed it promptly. Great view and spot for brekky. Menu is old school for example like in the 90s they charge extra for sourdough – come here for the view not the cuisine. Stick to the basics and you will be fine.
