Sake in the Rocks has an amazing vibe and great customer service. Our waiter spent a bit of time with us explaining the menu and what combinations would work well together. The food were was very lovely and the toothfish was very nice.I was here with a group of 4 and so we ordered many dishes. We could have probably done without the chicken karaage and the eggplant and miso as we struggled to finish off those dishes. The dragon egg was so fun to experience but is very sweet (we ordered 2!!)Can’t wait to come back.
Saks food was a let down for me. The flavours were either overpowered or bland. However I cannot fault the banana and hazelnut dragon egg. We had the edamame, kingfish, oysters, nori crisps, scampi tempura, miso toothfish, sashimi, chicken, popcorn shrimp and some nigiri. I liked the salmon belly nigiri best. Service was amazing – thanks to the waiter who looked like Shia from Transformers and pietro!
Ive always loved Japanese food and of course I was keen to try Sake. I have been to the restaurant a few times now and have always enjoyed the food.
Went there on Friday night and the restaurant was busy after 6:30pmWe ordered 7 course Omakase and were disappointed Dont do the tasting menu, just order different dishes The omkase doesnt worth the price. The food was just average. I think any Japanese restaurant in Sydney can do this. Service was excellent though
All food was on point, oysters and sashimi boat are a must. We also enjoyed the nori chips, s express roll, lamb chops and miso glazed toothfish. The dragon egg was too sweet and rich for my liking, but I really liked the presentation. Staff were very lovely too and my favourite cocktail on the menu was Miss Wednesday. Would easily dine here again, ambiance was good!
