Made an online order was impressed by its quick service but was let down by quality of food. Chose the tuna poke bowl with brown rice. Tasted like a 3 day old pre made meal from Woolworths that had been quickly heated up in the microwave. Even the edamame was wrinkly and stale. Was really let down because have had better in the past and because Sake is such a good restaurant.

Tried the salmon poke bowl and the chicken salad for my Mealpal lunches. The poke bowl was disappointing as it paled in comparison to the Parisi one from a taste and ingredients perspective. The chicken salad was much better—Previous visit—The chicken ramen was pretty average. The broth had no depth of flavour, tasted like plain chicken stock. Noodles were cooked slightly too soft. There were strips of poached chicken on top with some seaweed on top. However, full credit for the perfectly cooked egg with a creamy yolk. Too bad there was only half an egg in the bowl. I’m still keen to try the rice bowls add that looks like their speciality but would definitely avoid the ramen.

Sake Jr is on deliveroo! So ordered after late night in the office. Prices are very reasonable, lots under $15. Serving sizes might be a tad small for super hungry eaters so just add a side.

I love this place – easy to get a healthy Japanese meal. Pick your bowl, base (rice or salad), protein, veggies, sauces and toppings and you’re good to go. This is what I went for. Delicious and not too expensive. They also have other hot meals should that be your preference. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

I love coming here and making my own Poke Bowl! My favourite thing are their Brussel Sprouts – I don’t know how they make them but they’re incredible!! Unfortunately today they had no Brussel sprouts 🙁 but I loaded up on the edamame, green beans, corn, nori and chilli threads with the tuna Poke and it was a delight. Will always be coming back here when in need of a Poke pick me up!

Create your own bowl! There are a lot of options here, starting with the base, you can go brown Rice, noodles, tofu and mushrooms or green salad, then, choose a protein, pork, beef, chicken … then lots of veggies are included, edamame beans, pumpkin, corn, Brussel sprouts, then finally a pickle and a sauce… mine was nearly all veggies except for some pork. I felt healthy after that, until I tucked into a second dish of … Japanese fried chicken, delicious. All In all this restaurant is fun, healthy and delicious
