Been here a number of times – mainly due to their roast pork. As it happens on this visit the pork wasn’t great but we also had duck which was excellent. To an extent this sums up Imperial Banquet – it’s just a bit unreliable but more often than not we are happy with our meal.
Whatever you do, DO NOT order the steamed pork dim sim. I have never rated a dish 0/5. Worse than frozen dim sim that’s been reheated within an inch of its life. Virtually inedible. Bloody $7 down the drain. In fact, all the dim sim were below average, waste of my tummy real estate. The outlet was already approached with commensurate lowered expectation. Service nonchalant. Pork dim sim (siu may) 0/5Chive dumpling 2/5Prawn dumpling (har kaw) 2/5Pan fried pork dumpling 2.25/5Satay chicken skewers 2.25/5House special fried rice 2.75/5
