The lake cafe cabarita. My wife and I have been to both the Russet Gallery cafe and today 30th Nov 2014 we went to their sister cafe The Lake at Cabaret. Both times the waiting time between ordering and the food arriving, was unacceptable, today we waited almost an hour for eggs benedict and poached eggs with borlloti beans. Then when it did arrive the eggs were hard poached even though the menu said soft poached. The staff were apologetic but I’ve been in the industry for over 12 years and seeing as we were the only ones in the cafe at the time this was very poor service. It’s a shame as the food was very tasty but it left us thinking what if the place had even been half full? Disappointing
