I needed something quick and simple for breakfast and this place certainly fitted the bill. Just a stone’s throw away from Broadway shopping centre, this place certainly caters for the locals well serving them with Toby’s Estate coffees and the like. Order and pay at the counter, your selection is taken quickly and a number handed to you.Service is friendly and efficient here. Chilled tap water was swiftly brought to my table.Toasted Banana Bread With Ricotta & Honey as well as Mocha was ordered. Presented well, the banana bread was fluffy on the inside and toasty on the outside. The ricotta and honey added creaminess and sweetness to it. The coffee was a nice blend and just right.
Great looking place and I keep trying but the service is just sooo bad! Always get order wrong when they finally come to you, coffee not that great. Shame.
Good coffee but limited food choices.Still not a bad place to go if you only want simple fast classic breakfast like egg bacon burger or smashed avocado etc.
Excellent Barista, Happy Staff what else do you need. The staff is extremely courteous and will leave you happy at the end. Its Just that they have very limited vegetarian options when it comes to food, but that’s the case with almost 99% Cafes!
Not as good as it was since the new owners took over. Coffee has a tendency to be burnt and way too hot. Foot options are also quite limited
The coffee is probably the best around this part of town. Foodwise is just average. I tried a ham and cheese croissant and that wasn’t too great. The croissant was a bit tough and was dry.
What a disappointing brunch experience! Breakfast with the lot included overcooked mushrooms that were dried and shrivelled, bacon that was WAY over done (and not in the crispy, delicious way) and soggy tomato that seemed to be covered in dried herbs. Coffee was great, but neither that nor the good atmosphere made up for the overpriced and underwhelming breakfast. Would definitely eat else where considering both Newtown and Glebe Pt Rd are just around the corner and boast far better breakfast options for the same price range.
