My wife and I are regular customers of this cafe for the last 6 months or so. Their coffee and food never disappoints. Coffee guys are absolutely amazing and I would hire them myself if I could. Highly recommend to visit! *****
Good food, especially the beef sandwich. BTW, the waiters are pretty good looking and hospitable. I will come again for the food as well as those hot guys.
It’s a very strange restaurant. Looks like cafe, but also offers rice, pho, and anything else. The restaurant is hidden on a quiet street in Ultimo, and it’s decoration is in garage and warehouse style, with very high ceilings.[Food]We tried different types of the food.#Wkend pho# I’m not sure about the name but it’s like beef pho, with onion and Coriander slices on top. The taste is not good comparing with other Vietnamese restaurants.#Beef stew curry# A bowl of beef curry, and slices of bread. I’ve never seen such combination before(having bread together with curry). Very strange.#Panko chicken# looks like salad but with onions and cucumber in very small pieces. The fried chicken is on the top, together with a poached egg. Again it is a very strange dish.
Lotus Story clearly has a following amongst the office crowd from Mountain St. And it’s understandable. Service is quick and friendly. The menu has plenty of choice. The food is very good and the servings are generous
Ordered a french toast topped with cream, butter, fruits and berry sauce, the french toast itself was average yet it was quite a bomb combination that went well with the sides.SERVICE:ENVIRONMENT:FOOD:
Amazing everytime! Would always bring clients here for client lunch meetings! Best vietnamese food, would highly recommend the salads and the rice paper rolls. I really liked the interior of it as well, very art deco!
When I walked in I was like, eh, this looks like a hipster cafe I’d find in Melbourne except it was in Sydney and serves Vietnamese cuisine. There was a takeaway menu on the side and the option to dine in.The staff were friendly when they greeted us and sat us down. It felt very spacious with high ceilings and the tables were further apart from each other. The menu was interesting for a Vietnamese place, not very traditional and was more contemporary (fusion).I ordered the Grilled Beef & Spring Rolls Vermicelli (see photos). It was alright, the spring rolls tasted different from usual spring rolls I’d get from other Vietnamese restaurants. The meal didn’t leave much of an impression on me as I’ve had better, but nonetheless it was healthy. It was a bit pricey as compared to the serving size and the ingredients in the meal. I also ordered a lemongrass & ginger tea, which was fine as well.TLDR; I do not recall a lot as this is a 4 days late review. I just remember the place looked like a hipster cafe I would find in Melbourne, spacious with a good vibe, food was bit expensive for what it should be worth, the staff were very friendly and well presented. Would recommend if you just wanna have a casual meal at a nearby cafe with Vietnamese cuisine. But I believe there would be better places in the CBD.P.S. Excuse the quality of my photos as my cousins really wanted to just eat – so I didn’t have time to ensure they turned out good.
