Jasmines Greens Park Kiosk is a lovely family friendly cafe that serves great coffee just off the beach alongside a huge playground. After a trip into the main strip of Umina the park was filled with school children and it was noted that numerous mothers clubs meetings where in place sipping on their after school later. The appealing outdoor seating area and thirst for refreshments dragged us try Jasmine Greens well advertised organically sourced coffee. Ordering in true kiosk style much like a canteen we where served by a young friendly woman who took our orders of a long black and iced coffee. Whilst waiting for our drinks we eyed of the freshly baked goods displayed in the cabinet as well as the lighter bites to eat available for lunch. Our drinks arrived promptly and the long black was brewed hot, yet was too watery with no acidic fruity palatable taste that my taste buds have become accustom to due being from the coffee royalty capital of Melbourne. The iced coffee with ice-cream had a good balance of sweet to bitterness yet needed a mighty stir as all the coffee resided on the bottom leaving only the taste of a milky top when taking your first sip. Jasmines Greens Park Kiosk probably does a booming business as its location just around the corner from the primary school and a short walk off the beach provides convince for a quick coffee fix. The environment provided by ample outdoor seating is worth the trip yet the coffee is nothing special.
