The night started off well but quickly turned around. The wait staff would not scan the room and wouldn’t notice the multiple people attempting to get their attention and they forgot about the people they had seated to ask for their orders. On the upside, atleast the waitress was honest to us and said the seafood isn’t the freshest and would recommend otherwise? She similarly was able to recommend a good wine from the choices we had narrowed it down to.Following on from there, the entree (camembert, asparagus and prosciutto bruschetta) was brilliant but that was where the meals ended in brilliance. The chicken main was the most bland dish I have ever tasted with vegetables boiled in water and not seasoned and unseasoned chicken with tomato paste put ontop and the ravioli we got was drowned in so much oil that neither of us finished our dishes. It was obvious to the waiter removing the dishes afterwards that this was not a meal we enjoyed at all with the quantity of remaining food and this was ridiculous for the price we paid.To add to all of this, the decor was plain and lacking and luckily we had a table to the side which was avoiding the flow of people around the middle section. Not surprisingly, based on my above comments, they have lost my service and I will be trialing the other Italian restaurants in the area
Service was excellent and staff well presented. The food was amazing, traditional, and truly Italian, just like it came out of Nonna’s kitchen. A restaurant worthy of Melbourne’s Lygon St and even more. Complements to the chef and staff.
The food like always is fresh and tasty Italian. However, each time we are subjected to this young obnoxious blonde waitress who is utterly rude to us! I hope management realise that she is hurting their business.
Amazing service! quality meals in good portions. The best Gnocchi I have ever had, I was assured it was made on premises. Pizza was amazing also!
The restaurant uses mozzarella that burns easily so pizzas seem overcooked
