I dined at this hotel (AKA) The Riverina hotel approx. 4 months ago, being a Monday night it was very quiet so the service was quite quick, I ordered oysters as an entrée, but was informed that they were unavailable, however I did have a porterhouse steak which was very nice with vegies and mushroom gravy, the last time I was in this hotel was 1985
Great friendly staff of course but it is a dead Monday night on a hot summer evening. The river gently slumbers by and I rehydrate with a Coopers and calamari who’s origin may be best not explored. Tasted fine though and the mash potato is seriously delicious. Let’s be honest, it’s hard not to like an old country pub. Lend your support so gambling doesn’t have too.
Very dissapointed. I went for a family dinner and got the $41.00 steak which was delivered with the wrong sides and sauce,which I tried and the sauce gave me an allergic reaction,when I asked for a refund as waiting 40min for a replacement with my wife and 5yo child would be unreasonable the manager said because I had already eaten a small portion I was not entitled to a refund and that all he could offer was a free drink,when I asked for a compromise of half a refund instead I was told either take the drink or me and my family should leave,I declined the drink as it seemed insulting,we were then escorted by the manager out of the hotel and followed about 50m by him down the road,this was a terrible end to a great family night out,very dissapointing!
