Shared plate has its advantage, the food becomes the point of conversation and everyone is able to taste everything that have been ordered and Suq has you covered with this type of dining. Global fusion is the theme here, this is our second time to visit and we were excited to try out some of the new dishes added on the menu. Located in the leafy suburb of Wamberal near Terrigal, this thriving restaurant offers a modern take of cuisines with influences from Asia, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East. With cozy ambiance, inviting feel and friendly service, its your choice to sit outside or inside. Try the flavour packed house made spiced Illaboo lamb rolls served with minted yoghurt, have a melting moment with the roasted beetroot garnished with Gibson Blue cheese, walnut , pomegranate balsamic reduction or the very popular 24-hour confit pork belly, parsnip puree, truffle oil, and salsa verde. Highly recommended and booking is a must! Plenty of parking on site and its both Licensed and BYO.

SUQ is a lovely addition to the group of restaurants in Wamberal! The service was great, nice ambience with outdoor seating and delicious food. It is quite an intimate setting so bookings are recommended as tables can fill up quick. We went on a week night so it wasn’t busy. We ordered fresh french bread to start and had the asian style pork mince with lychee, custard and roti. It was an interesting mix of flavours but it worked really well together. The roti was yum and I loved the custard! We also had the poached barramundi with miso, shiitake, rice and poached egg. The fish was cooked beautifully and the poached egg was a nice touch and cooked perfectly. Dishes here are meant to be shared and there’s definitely something on the menu to appease every palate. For dessert we had the fried banana, macadamia gelato, banana pudding with caramel. It was a great dish to end the night and we were totally stuffed after our meal. The meal cost us around $70 for two people.
