One of my fave breakfast spots in Sydney! A great neighbourhood gem serving up flavoursome middle eastern dishes. It gets very busy on the weekends so I would advice you go early to grab a table. Amazing shashuka eggs with plenty of flavour and the eggplant with burrata cheese and poached egg was devine. Great coffee as well. Must go back!
Every time we dont know where to go, we go to this place. Have never been disappointed. Coffee is always fast and great. I always pay attention to my coffee simply because I drink it only with almond milk and quite often and doesnt really test as good as it could be. These guys know how to make it right food is simply delicious aaaalways, every time, anything Ive decided to try. So if you are looking for another place to try- just go for it. That would be my recommendation for everyone.
Went there on Saturday morning and waited for 10min for a tableThe cappuccino was good but I didnt really like the shakshuka. I felt its too heavy for brunch. Its oily and sour. The fired rice with beef sausage was fine but still, too oily for me. Service was good.
I love finding a new favourite place in Sydney because I know I would always come back when I’m back in Sydney and Kepos Street Kitchen is just that! Definitely can’t wait to tell my friends about this place. Firstly, great ambience, for a casual dining area, it had a very sophisticated setting! Looove! The lady that took the time to literally dissect the menu and go through every single dish with us because we had a hard time choosing was SO knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly. We were one of the very first few tables for the evening so the service was super prompt! The food was hands down, perfect!! Every single dish was executed extremely well and the attention to detail, can not give it enough praise! The smoked labne was my favourite dish of the night, I don’t know what to even say just YUM YUM YUM Everything about the dish was perfect, well-balanced, different textured. The tuna tartare was beautiful on the plate, the precision and plating! The smoke eggplant was subtle, all the elements worked really well, it was really delicious. You can never go wrong with a black angus stirlion, cooked to perfection paired well with a fresh pearl barley salad. Salted caramel is my weakness so we had to get the churros, I found it a little strange that it was served in a paper bag though, made it look cheap compared to all the other dishes, but nonetheless, delicious, fluffy and just the perfect amount of salt in the velvety caramel YUM.Absolutely loved Kepos and would definitely come back time and time again. Not to mention how decently priced all the dishes are for what you get! nibbleandwander.com
The hype is real guys. I came here on a Saturday afternoon at 1.30pm and luckily for us there wasn’t a wait line, phew. Once seated, we ordered the Angus 100 day aged Sirloin ($29) and the falafel for lunch ($19). Both dishes were exceptional. The falafel unfortunately, wasn’t piping hot but had that customary crispy outer-texture and aromatic chickpea-based filing. What I really enjoyed, however, were the accompaniment sides (sourdough bread, labneh which is a sour yogurt, pickled pepper, hommus and chips). All the elements made it feel like such a complete dish and everything balanced so well from creamy, salty, sweet, sour and spicy. Truly wish I could TA a massive bowl of hommus and sourdough bread. The sirloin steak, however, was on another level, especially for the price you pay it could have easily cost a lot more. The beef was cooked medium rare and sat on a bed of crispy zucchini/barley mixture that was so flavourful. The only thing that could have made this better for me would have been a starch like potato mash. Highly recommend, lovely residential area too!
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, this small cafe did not disappoint! The service was exceptional and we did not have to wait long to be seated on a busy Sunday morning. We ordered the Shakshuka and Kepos Benedict, both of which was lovely! Great place to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. Parking was easy to find, we parked one street away from the cafe.
