So pleased to see an upgraded kitchen in this joint! Bach Burrito is a very sensible fit.The old burger menu was never bad but it was never great and the steak was overpriced. Don’t get me started on the ‘brisket’…After two meals in the new Beach Burrito I reckon the food is near-identical to the original, if not more like Darlo, with just enough difference to prove it is cooked fresh in-house and not offsite as with some overgrown chains of Tex Mex!The bar staff are all over the menu and making recommendations which is always welcome. I will be back more often!

Looks like a everyday pub on the outside…… also looks like a everyday pub on the inside! Brews are good with some favourite from rocks brewing. IPA is always a 7.1% good choice 🙂 Food is pretty standard, burgs are good we had American cheese and brisket… Cheese was great. Not sure about brisket sauce. Wanted to try cheese sticks but sold out. Cried a little. Load girl was tedious. If you like old school time crisis & pin ball arcade come check it out. All in all glad it’s my local. Tasty.

Good beer and friendly service but seriously overpriced pub food. The salads are OK but $28 for a cheap cut of steak and chips is a bit much.

Really friendly staff and a cool vibe. Craft beers and a burger is a winner. We enjoyed the 90’s classics played over the speakers and quite enjoyed the whole experience !

Situated on the corner of Henderson Road and Wyndham Street, Alexandria.A range of craft beers available as part of the Rocks Brewing Company. A small wine list.Food is consistently good here. Fresh ingredients. Generous portions. Sirloin steak cooked as ordered and no gristle or excess fat making the whole thing edible. Nice flavours with mash and gravy. Good service.Ambience : Ok, its a pub so you expect music. But theres a point where music can become overbearing as is the case here. The volume can make conversation a bit of a yelling match. There are speakers in all 4 corners of the room so there’s no real quiet area to escape too. It would be great if music could be lowered a touch. The place could also do with self closing entrance doors. Neither of the entrance doors close properly so it can be a bit draughty sitting by the doors especially when patrons leave them wide open in the middle of winter.Nightly food specials such as Mexican Mondays ($10 Tacos / Nachos),Hump Day Rump Day ($12 Steak) put this place in the cheap eats category on those nights.UPDATED 5 August 2015 : Hump Day rump day. $12 steak. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak with salad and chips. Salad wont win any awards but for $12, in terms of value AND quality, must be the best deal in the area. Hump Day rump day will now become a weekly tradition.UPDATED 11 AUGUST 2015 : Sesame Seared Tuna with Herb Salad and Chilli Lime Dressing $22. Perfectly cooked Tuna with a white and black sesame crust. Fish was moist and fresh. Nice and pink in the middle. Generous portion. The salad wasn’t the traditional pub salad of a few bits of oversized lettuce thrown on a plate. Mandolin sliced white & red cabbage, carrot, mint & coriander. Dressed in a delicious tangy chilli and lime dressing. Chilli wasn’t overpowering. A great meal. thestuffedkiwi.blogspot.com

Great Beer…Terrible Cuban Sandwich. Love the beers…big selection of interesting craft beers and suoer friendly dude behind the counter…but we all foolishly ordered the Cuban sandwich – it was gross…and around the $17 mark. Imagine a panini with a thick slab of cheap cooked ham…and also small chunks of fairly tasteless slow corked pork and a pickle. Really really dry and just bad ! ….aside from that the rest of the menu looked boring as well…..disappointing as we love the food at Rocks Brewery in Bourke St ( same crew run both ).Lift your game guys.

Awesome beer. But… Pass…. Awesome beer. But…Passive aggressive bar staff and very disappointing food.
