Garden cafe is a simple yet awesome place to chow down on freshly made and individually constructed sandwiches. The staff are inviting and if you frequent the establishment they will remember your order and your name. The options are wide-ranging, however, I would suggest the Number 14 with the addition of chicken. Number 14 is one of the tastiest combinations I have had – it is a vegetarian option that incorporates semi-sundried tomato, eggplant, pesto and spinach. If it’s one thing that I think vegetarian options do well, it is flavours. And these are melt in your mouth good. As I like a little more on my sandwich I always opt for the addition of chicken, sometimes even a chicken schnitzel if I am really feeling it! Despite my taste for mixing and matching the different flavours they do have established flavour combos that will suit everyone. The price is not cheap but it is worth it if you need to buy something. Get in there and give one a try – or combine two. Be adventurous.
Been going to this place for years; nothing too fancy but good if you want a quick wrap or sandwich. They also have light meals like burgers, eggs, French toast etc. Open from 6-3, a bit later on weekends. The sandwich option have a few favourites or you can make your own. No drama to change one of the favourites up a bit. I got the number 6: falafel, hommus, tabouli, lettuce and cheese (with mayo instead of the hummus), I chose brown bread but you can have whatever you like. They do coffees, shakes, fresh juice. Students from nearby schools get a discount.Lovely ladies running the place. It’s a little pricey on the sandwiches but no dissimilar to anywhere around here. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
