Stopped over at this lovely cafe for morning tea on our way to Blue Mountains. Our friend in Sydney highly recommended to us their scones with jam, butter and double cream. It was indeed a good recommendation. The scones were very homemade feel, fresh and fluffy. The scones tasted even better with jam, butter and cream, real awesome! The coffee was pretty good too. I love the environment, it was serene, cosy and relaxing. The upstairs indoor dining hall was like a home library, with plenty of books on the shelves and some sofas for diners’ pleasure reading.Food & Beverage : 8/10 (for scones and coffee only, as we didn’t try other foods)Service : 7/10Price : 6/10Ambience : 9/10
We decided to check this cafe out for breakfast when heading back to Sydney after enjoying our weekend at the blue mts. As we were a party of 8, I rang early in the morning to see if it was possible to book a table and the staff who I spoke to said it was no problem and they gave us a table by the window. Most of us ordered coffee but my husbands white choc mocha was basically warm milk with a hint of coffee, no sweetness or hint of white chocolate. In terms of food, we all enjoyed our dishes (eggs Benedict, spicy breakfast bowl, the big breakfast) but the weakest dish were the lemon and sugar pancakes that were rolled up and were more crepes than anything. Luckily the wait for food wasnt too long and as it was a Monday morning, the cafe wasnt too busy so we were able to enjoy our breakfast without being rushed.
