After passing by this place for a few times in the past, finally gave it a try for our Sunday’s dinner. There wasn’t that much of a crowd when we were there. The all you can eat sushi roll that you can roll yourself was interesting, but we decided to order the normal bento and don instead this time around. The food was good, and the staff were friendly, overall was happy with the place. Would probably be back again to try the sushi roll for lunch.

We stumbled across Joy’s Kitchen last night as our former dinner plans fell through. It looked quiet from the outside compared to the bustling Japanese restaurant two shops down however don’t let looks deceive you: this place was a great find. The service at Joy’s Kitchen was impeccable. We had a large party however they were extremely accommodating. The waitress was very attentive and polite. Although the buffet option looked very appealing, we tried their bento and sets instead.Their portion sizes were extremely generous: the sushi and udon tempura set ($16) came with 6 nigiri, a generous plate of tempura and a large bowl of udon. We’ve had a few bad experiences at other restaurants in the past where the nigiri is so delicate it falls apart when picked up with chopsticks however this was not the case at Joy’s Kitchen. The tempura was well-coated and paired very nicely with the sauce.Similarly, the katsu bento box was very generous in size. The katsu however was more like a schnitzel than a katsu and would have benefited from less time in the fryer. The sashimi that was came with the bento was fresh and came in quite a large portion. The fried assortment while hot and fresh was quite ordinary. Unfortunately the edamame was a bit of a letdown as it was a little grey suggesting it had been steamed a while in advance and reheated.Tl;dr: this place has great service and value for money. Sushi and tempura udon set is recommended. Katsu from the bento was a little dry but the bento has great value! We will definitely be back.

Had the Teori Nori buffet meals a few times, and have never been disappointed – great value, a variety of fresh ingredients. The owner and waitresses are also very caring and attentive. Restaurant is very clean. Would continue to come again.

Have a really good experience here. The waitress and (i guess) the owner are extremely lovely and caring. My order was grilled salmin bento. The portion is generous, the sashimi is fresh and thick-cut which im fond of. Will come back again
