I was here when the pub was not crowded at all despite it being a Friday night. They were unfortunately not interested in taking my order (I was at the counter, not seated at my table), so I had no choice but to leave. A huge shame, as it was a nice looking bar.
Cosy pub feel, clean with quick service. They have cheap $12 steaks with chips and salad that you get to grill yourself. If you order cooked steak on their menu it’ll cost you over $20. Other meals are pretty tasty as well. Good portions and reasonably priced drinks. If you live locally it’s a great place to hang out.
Always a great place to come with a crowd, they have a great selection of food and you can cook your own steak too. Whenever we come here, we cook our own steak…after you cook it you bring your dish back to the counter and you can choose your sides of chips and salad or chips and veges and your choice of sauce. There are more condiments to the side like mustards, BBQ and tomato sauce too. Haven’t had a bad experience as yet!
Not too shabby. I’ve been here a couple of times for the cook it yourself steak, where if I don’t have a helping hand… fail miserably. Still a fun experience with friends, and a considerable amount cheaper than having it all cooked for you. Also had the roast chicken breast and barramundi. Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken. Cooked perfectly and the whole dish was very satisfying and filling. Barramundi had too much of the fishy taste so I didn’t enjoy it too much. Also been there just for drinks, and it’s not too bad of a place to hang out. I would go back, having your meal with a drink or two is not difficult at all!
West Ryde Hotel offers good quality bistro meals at affordable prices. This place is really famous for their steaks which you have the option to grill yourself or you can request the kitchen to do it for you. It’s a few bucks cheaper if you choose the first option.I recommend you grill your own steaks because it adds a lot of fun and interaction to your dining experience. The only risk you may encounter is that you may not cook your steak to your desired liking. Once you have finished grilling your steaks, you can grab some side dishes and sauces from the counter.
