For a first visit, I didnt know that there was a ticketing system in place as the machine is quite far into the shop and I was at the back of the queue which at this point was out the door. Wasted 5 minutes in line but guess I can take responsibility for that.Coffee was decent but food took 30 minutes to come out which ended up being a bowl of cold veggies mixed in with warm elements (e.g: poached eggs were hot, haloumi was luke warm). Re-read the menu and no where does it start that this was a cold dish and certain ingredients were missing so was definitely not worth the wait. Also worth noting that table numbers given out at the cashier doesnt seem to work as I saw many waitresses run around with the same plate of food endlessly searching for specific numbers. Its no wonder my food got to me cold.
As soon as I walked to this Patisserie, the arrays of colourful sweet treats on display caught my eye. Of course thats what you expect to see when you enter a patisserie. They all look tempting, really (I have sweet tooth). I actually wanted to have brunch here so I ordered Ricotta Hotcake. Its pretty good and generously portioned. The highlight of this dish is definitely the mango syrup. Thick and very mango-ey, the portion given is not enough :)Coffee is awesome too, as expected from Lavazza. And whats the point going to a patisserie without having a sweet treat? Ive never seen or tried chaja before so today is the day. Its actually too sweet to my standard of sweetness, but I dont mind at all! The different layers of elements are lovely. I get meringue, sponge cakes and dulce de leche in one bite. I can see myself coming again to this place to try different treats. They have gelato too!
