Have to say, we were really looking forward to ordering the famous ribs that the Albion have to offer. Out of our dinner party of seven, four ordered the ribs. Initially on the special board it was advertised as a full rack of ribs with chicken wings. When we did sit down, the menu was changed to a half rack. Price remained the same. We did question this with the wait staff – it was an error from the night before.After we placed our order, we were then told that we had ordered the last of the ribs, so no extras for the table. The ribs were delivered. There was a huge difference between the portion sizing. One plate had two ribs, the biggest serve was four ribs. The chicken wings also varied in portion size – from one to three. The wait staff had confirmed that there should have been two to three wings per serve. The rest of the meals were very average, with very dry chicken schnitzel. We did make our complaint with the publican, but were less than impressed with the conflict resolution. The Albion Hotel has certainly decreased in it’s level of customer service, food quality and atmosphere. Will not be returning.
