Love this place for its stylishly industrial bar. Music video, comfortable cane furniture, leather chesterfields, high bar stools and pool table yowsers!!. Plenty of screens and stuff. They are trying hard with the food and it shows. Faves are roast salmon with parsnip puree and Slow Roast beef cheek plus pub standards. Staff are generally attentive and friendly.
Nicely presented place with a quiet kid friendly bistro separate from the rest of the pub. Had the Angus eye fillet which was perfectly cooked and came with a surprisingly delicious potato rosti and veggies. The wife had a chicken parmi that she also thoroughly enjoyed. This place is pretty good as far as pub bistros go.
Loved the daily specials…. and more. Had dinner last Friday night. Had the special of Seafood tasting plate. Was FAB had oyster shooters, salt and pepper squid, yamba prawns, soft shell crab, salmon slider, salads and chips. This is a share plate for 2 or 3, very worth the money as a entree. Also ordered Vietnamese Chicken salad and the Crispy Salmon for mains. Atmosphere was just right. No loud music just background, all employees that served us were polite, and when clearing table or brining us meal asked if we needed anything extra. It was busy but we didnt wait more than 30 mins for our mains after having entree. I like the option of daily specials made up each day, as well as the weekly specials. Gives the option to order something new and yummy when we next dine there. Will be back. Thanks Bridgeview.
Great food. We ordered the Moreton Bay Bug spaghetti and Nioise salad. The products were fresh, well cooked and tasty! A nice pub meal! We will be coming back!
Had dinner in the bistro area on Friday night. Very relaxed. Flash fried squid was tasty, salmon cooked perfectly, and my slow cooked lamb burger is worth going back for. Intend to be back soon!
Give it a miss. The new owners have ruined this LOCAL favourite. Where do I start and I have returned 4 times at my partners insistence to give them a go after reopening. Food inconsistent and unimaginative. Vain lazy staff with no personality who cant welcome RETURN CUSTOMERS. Toilets NEVER clean. Glasses and cutlery generally dirty, doesn’t anyone polish anymore ?? Do yourself a favour, there are better places close by. Won’t be back and I tell all who listen as to how bad it is.
Bad atmosphere. Recent ‘renovations’ have transformed this once relaxing and friendly pub into a gaming/pokies zone. It’s now very noisy and unwelcoming. It’s been stripped of character and replaced with shabby chic attitude and decor …right down to tacky arcade games. We went there for dinner at 6pm and couldn’t hear ourselves think over the music and gaming. The food was decent but everything else disappointing. We weren’t the only ones to leave early. We won’t be back which is sad as we used to love this place.
