You will regret going there, half frozen entries, oversalted curry’s, half menu is not being served. No replacements or apologies been made. At least they were not brave enough to charge us.
On my recent trip to Bowral I discovered this wonderful Thai restaurant. The dcor was warm and welcoming with ample space between tables. The menu was vast giving lots of mouth watering choices. It is also BYO.We shared the BBQ chicken and the Duck in Thai herbs. Both were brilliant. The coconut rice was delicious.Loved this place so much that we went back the next day. Had the BBQ pork and the Duck.Bowral Thai will not disappoint you. I will most definitely be going back there when I visit Bowral next.
What an experience! Service was a solid 5/5, for some reason when i paid cash it was cheaper and they gave me free prawn crackers upon pick up. Flavors were extraordinary, the red duck curry with lychees and pineapple what a treat. Fried tofu cashew was lethal too. Everytime i pass through bowral i will make an effort to stop and support this restaurant. Too good
Super friendly, engaged staff. Really tasty food – my red curry was full of crunchy, fresh, well prepared vegi’s (am I the only person that hates stems?). They managed one vegi and one carnivore really well. Pad Thai tasty and fresh. BYO wine, great value for money and buzzy vibe. Will be back.
Perfect peanut sauce. I’ve only recently discovered this restaurant, even though I’ve lived in the area for 10 years. Great lunch time service, staff remembered me from one visit to the next, and were happy to make changes to menu items (peanut sauce on my pad thai). Great food, prompt delivery (which is great when you have a work lunch). Definitely a regular place for me now.
A constantly full resturant dosnt lie. Ignore peters comment, he obviously had a bad and for that situation to escalate to where it did im sure he had a lot to do with it. A lot of young people working there, if you want five star service go to est. in Sydney. A Bowral institution, crowed favourite and never had a bad experience.
Terrible service, rude staff. The last and I mean last time I ate there and will ever eat there will be etched in my memory forever.Although this place serves decent food, they often forget dishes when dining in a group and they do nothing to compensate the poor customers. My experience began at the entre, when they sent one of our entrees to another table and despite numerous requests to the wait staff about where our entre was nothing was done to rectify it(i.e. prepare another entre). One finally did arrive after some of our guests received their mains. Then to the mains, my partner did not receive hers until 30 minutes after everyone else had theirs.I spoke to the owner about the problem and asked what could be done and she said that as we had finally got what we ordered that we would have to pay the bill with no discount for the very late dishes. The waitresses did not seem to know what they were doing, the owner was very not willing to discuss our problems. When I went to pay the bill I explained my concerns, at which time the owner started yelling at the staff in full view of the customers, I was then ignored while other customers paid their bills until I spoke up to request that I be allowed to pay my bill. When I got the bill I noticed that we were charged corkage for everyone(8 people) only 4 drank wine and questioned it, they reluctantly took off the extra corkage. I made a comment to the staff that although I was paying the bill I was reluctant to pay and she immediately picked up a card with the local police details on it and went to pick up the phone to call the police. I asked her what she was doing and she said that she was ringing the police because I refused to pay the bill even though I had the money in my hands and at no stage did I say that I wouldn’t pay, I only said I was reluctant to pay.I was once a regular at this place and in the past although they would often forget a dish and needed to be reminded I never let it bother me, but the final straw was with the terrible service and disgusting behaviour of the owner and staff.Enter at your own peril and remember to never voice your concerns with the owner for fear of the reprisals.
