Wow… what a pleasant find. Stopped in at the last minute and I have to say…I have not enjoyed a meal as much as this in ages. Really honest, flavorful Italian fare. The calamari was beautifully tender in a wonderful verde sauce. The absolute standout was the feta pawns… generous prawns in a perfectly spicy tomato sauce with small cubes of feta slowly softening and giving a salty creamy edge.Marvelously thin veal scallopini with a creamy mushroom sauce and a rich home style lasagna.Good, honest Italian comfort food executed beautifully.Pleasant staff, nice comfy atmosphere and fair prices.I could not fault this at all. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Luckily we booked ahead as the small dining area was full. A family run, traditional restaurant, serving good honest Italian food, nothing too fancy. Service was prompt and friendly. The baby octopus was a bit chewy. The Spicy Italian meat balls were full of flavour and the tiramisu we managed to squeeze in was delicious. Will definitely return.
Authentic home style cooking minus the pretentious attitude of Sydney restaurants.. Garlic bread, garlic prawns and authentic melt in your mouth Lasagne…Yum! We were lucky enough to catch the lovely husband and wife owners on a quiet night. Being able to speak with each of them after our meal gave great insight into our meals and the menu which we were told is authentically Italian as they each grew up on back in Italy! When a restaurant doesn’t need to advertise, have a social media presence nor have a website and the owners still work every night at a restaurant ensuring heart and soul is poured into each meal, this signifies quality and authenticity. If you’re in a rush and like crap food go to Dominoes, better still, go back to Sydney !!
