As part of the southern pie-lands event, we decided to drop by the famous Robbo pie shop. With a great array of savoury and sweet pies in standard and large sizes, we got the steak & mushroom pie and their award winning pie special (leek, Camembert, chicken). Both pies were warm and hearty with the pie special tasting like pasta but in a pie! Downside to my experience was that all the chairs and tables to dine at had pie pastry flakes from previous customers. Overall, nice pies. I would not recommend going out of your way for them but if youre in the area, then why not.
Flaky crust and generous filling, this shop is popular among many many travellers who pass through.The chicken and leek with camembert pie is hearty, warm and filling, its super creamy which went very well with the flaky crust. The beef bacon and cheese is also very savoury and juicy! The custard tart is perfect, has a lot of filling and not overly sweet.Loved every bit of it! Would definitely come back
