I shared a banquet with a friend, it was fantastic. Each dish that came out was just as good as the one before it. The sashimi mix plate was so fresh. Finishing the meal off with the passionfruit sorbet was perfect.
First impression was good. Definitely love the arrangement of Japanese seating. However, first dish was disappointing. I have Japanese food very often and the futomaki rolls was something I was not particularly impressed with. It was just like any other hand roll that you could buy for 3 dollars outside in food courts. The sushi and sashimi mix was quite alright., ocean trout sashimi was really fresh. The one dish I did enjoy the most and would recommend is the unagi- conger eel.. I think this restaurant is better with their mains (meat and seafood). Went back and tried the raw beef, duck salad and soft shell crab! Oh yum!!
This place is the best fine Japanese south of Sydney. You always leave with a sense that you have had a real experience. The wait staff are professional and knowledgeable. I have liked this restaurant for a long time and never had a bad experience.

Incredible.. From the moment you walk in you are sucked into an authentic Japanese atmosphere. Food AMAZING. Better than anything I have had in Sydney or Melbourne. Excellent service. Deserves more than some of the other ratings on here for Japanese where I have experienced rather mediocre meals. Not only intending on returning, actively excited too!
