Experience PLUS++++++. What a memorable dinner!!! Took me back to the my traveling days in Germany years ago, having a beer in a stein..The Experience was fantastic. Service is outstanding,always with a smile and Wolfgang is great…I cant speak higher of this little quaint restaurant, quite refreshing and reasonably priced especially when you see the size of the Pork Knuckle!!! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED great night out. AAAA++++++++
Very nice food and well priced for the portion sizes. Service was perfect.Only let down was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The lighting is very bright, the room is echoey and not heated. However I will definitely return because of the food.
Not a good experience. Went there on Thursday night 5 April. Table for two. Had been meaning to go to this restaurant for a while so Thursday night was the night. Restaurant less than half full. The main course took ages to come and looking around at other tables you could see the growing frustration with the wait. No food was coming out of the kitchen. Ok they probably had a bank up of orders but nothing was coming out to any of the tables. One table of three walked out in disgust at the wait. Food finally arrived and it was pretty basic fare. Nothing that you couldn’t cook at home for a lot less cost. No apology for the long wait. We just felt grateful we got something to eat at long last. The waitress was doing her best but heaven knows what is going on in that kitchen. Don’t bother with this one – much better food and less wait at plenty of other places in Bowral
Extreme disappointment. Booked a table, weeks in advance, for 10 of us to enjoy a fondue. Bit worried when we arrived that the restaurant was empty (while others in Bowral were humming!). The night went from bad to worse – had to find someone to order a beer, 2 oil pots arrived for a long table (despite the promise of one pot per two guests), the oil kept cooling so nothing would cook – bit of a worry with chicken & prawns! The waiter apologized that they only had two pots (and there was no one else there!!) We finally walked out – something I’ve never done before.
Great German food, certainly filling, loved the pork knuckle.
