We used to live in The Blue Mountains, so when we came back to visit a close friend, we decided to head to the Winmalee Tavern for lunch.First thing we noticed since our last visit was a renovation to the outdoor area and the dining area. Alot more modern and definitely more inviting than I remember.For a little country/regional pub it has a great range of meals and prices.We decided to pick from the lunch specials for $12.90. We each chose one each of the Calamari, Fish and chips and a chicken schnitzel.We were very impressed by the size and the quality of the food considering the very low price. All meals served with a decent serve of chips and very fresh salad with a very tasty creamy dressing.If we ever find ourselves back to Winmalee/Springwood area in the Blue Mountains we will definitely be heading back to the Winmalee Tavern for a reasonably priced and simple pub meal..
