My friends visited the caf last weekend and were subject to a racist and abusive attack by another customer and complaints to thestaff witnessing this attack were simply ignored. Please do not dine at this restaurant. The staff and management team treat their customers badly by condoning racist behaviour andhave no sense of customer service. Don’t waste your time or money at this restaurant!
My girlfriend was recently subject to prolonged racist abuse from a Irish guy at this place. The staff members at the time did absolutely nothing to make her or the other customers there feel comfortable, when she spoke up to them.I will make sure to NEVER ever come to this place to eat or drink ever again. And to everyone reading this, if you want to feel comfortable with your experience, make sure that this is the very last place you go to.REPLY TO ROCCA’S RESPONSE ON GOOGLE: That is a completely unacceptable reply [defending the perpetrator as a regular customer who must have his needs met]. Just goes to show what kind of regular clientele this place gets. Everyone I hope you all note this carefully and don’t get burnt yourself!
I have eaten here on a number of occasions and there is always a problem with the incredibly long wait between placing an order and getting it. I had lunch with a friend last week. Our coffees arrived promptly but one salad arrived almost half an hour after placing the order and then it was almost 10 minutes before the other salad was served. The food however is extremely good. Its the service that lets this cafe down. But what was truly shocking, in my view, was the jumper our waiter was wearing, which boldly stated across his back ZERO F$&KS GIVEN. And it didnt use $&. Nice! Not. We are local but will not be returning. See my comment below, and have changed my rating to 3 stars.
Four of us went to have dinner. We ordered 2 steaks, 1 risotto & 1 salmon, plus 2 sides. The restaurant was 70% full.We waited 30 mins for the FIRST steak to come. Then waited another 15 mins for another steak and the risotto plus 1 side. Also the waitress told us the other side sold out – 45 mins after we ordered. The final dish, the salmon came in another 20 mins after we chased it up twice!!!!We looked around and none of the table are having their meals delivered around the same time. There was a few complaints at the restaurant during our stay.Very disappointing experience and Ill will NOT go there again even Im a local. Please do not go there if you dont have 2 hours to spare for a single course meal.
This is a nice cafe with all day breakfast and lunch options. The iced tea is quite pretty with the flower petals on top and the drink itself is light and just a little sweet. The eggs benedict were good with nicely poached eggs though I would recommend getting this with a side of salmon or bacon. The Early Bird II dish though is huge and definitely worth it. It included scrambled eggs, mushroom, bacon, salmon, toast and a potato rosti! The sweet potato fries were also really nice!
Do NOT go there! Unwashed plates, steel wool in your meal! Clueless staff, i will never go there again! Please do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere else. Do NOT go there!!
Ate here on two occasions. Decent portion size, great coffee, excellent fries, overall dishes taste good. For breakfast we ordered the French toast and omelette. Both taste really good and portion huge. For lunch we ordered the veal schnitzel, wagyu steak sandwich, fish and chicken Parma. Wagyu was very tough, the worst of all, I wouldn’t order again. Veal was chewy, but the sauce that comes with it is really good. Fish is nice and so is the chicken Parma. Service is good too but you order at the counter.
