Great food and excellent service. I was a little concerned reading reviews before hand but we were pleasently surprised by our experience. Delicious, generous meals. My husband had a pizza and only got through half. I had the chicken rissoto, beautiful and tasty. Again only got through half. We both took left overs takeaway. Service was excellent. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. They took our orders quickly and we had our food within 15 mins. They checked everything was to our liking and if we needes anything else. Over all very impressed.
Here on holidays with the mother in law. She had the lamb fillet and says it was exquisite…beautiful flavours and wonderfully tender. the darling wife had the chicken risotto which was also amazing.I was slightly dissapointed with the marguerita pizza…pizza base a little thick for my liking. Gelatoes all good.
Disapointing. This used to be a lovely restaurant. The staff were totally uninterested, abrupt and rude. Even the return phone call was unpleasant and that should have been the first clue. Meals were great but slightly over priced.Such a shame to be treated like this on a night out with my mum.
Great mains, bad service.. We took the family on the weekend and have to echo the other reviewers’ sentiments about service. They were slow and unattentive and with 7 of them there and not a particulary busy night there’s really no excuse. Because you can see into the kitchen from where we were sitting I have to defend the head chef and say that he is obviously up against lazy wait staff and the pizza boys pretty much do their own thing in their own time. The kids’ pizzas were ordinary and not timed to arrive with our mains. The mains themselves were outstanding and made the experience worthwhile. The wait staff ignored us once our meals were delivered and the chef himself checked whether we were happy and took our feedback even though it clearly wasn’t him that was the problem. We may go back but I’m not sure we can recommend to others. It’s a shame because there’s some gorgeous food coming out of the kitchen but the service and the pizza cowboys let them down.
Worst service! Table of 8 people. 4 of the meals arrived 25 min before the others. And when they did arrive they were undercooked pizzas. When we complained we were brushed off by the rudest manageress ever!! All buck passing. One of our guest left and went and bought take away. Never again.
Bummer. Worst service! Actually were laughing at how bad it was.Had to go down to the Ryan’s pub downstairs 4 separate times to purchase drinks for the table as staff were not interested in taking our order.Reservation was at 6:30pm, order was taken at 8pm; then had to go up to the chef and request fresh basil because this Italian restaurant seems to think bruschetta is not made with basil. Salty pizza dough with the texture you would expect in a take away at Kings Cross. Staff bickering amongst each other, all around bad vibe. This place was a staple for years but sadly they will not get another dime from me.Sorry Little Italy but the standard has dropped.
