  This place is amazing. The manager is so accommodating. Very friendly atmosphere. Quality food. Service is high class. We’ll definitely make this our regular hang out.

  Won’t be back!. Food was either raw or burnt, management was rude, and if sitting on the footpath feeling the wind and tasting exhaust form passing cars with your food is your idea of good ambience then this is the place for you.

  Recommended. Food is great value for money and consistently good. Most dishes are served with a delicious savoury rice and fresh salad. Good service.

  Travelled from Sydney for a catch up dinner with some friends at chargoal last week. We made a booking for 3 on Tuesday to dine on Saturday. We were asked if we wanted a table inside or outside and told if we chose to sit outside that we would have an outdoor heater for our table. I know you can’t control the weather but the Saturday night was rainy and windy and our table was the only one outside that did not have a heater. When we asked the staff if we could move inside they said they were fully booked and yet the table beside us were moved inside. We asked why there was no heater at our table as we were told there would be when we booked. We were told other diners had heaters booked. So it looks like they don’t have enough heaters for each outdoor table. We had to end up walking away despite explaining our situation to the manager who didn’t seem to care that we were told we would have a heater when we booked. A very disappointing experience. Don’t promise something that you can’t deliver!

  Were we at the same movie???. Ever read a review on something like a movie, song or maybe a sporting contest or, as is the case here, even a restaurant and the review is so far away from and a opposed to your own experience and feelings, you are left wondering if you and the reviewer were at the same movie, hearing the same song, at the same game or in this case eating at the same restaurant???Chargoal? If we are judging it as we should on a site like this as a restaurant,for the quality of the food, the standard of the service and the ambience, then this place is superb, I would recommend and have recommended Chargoal to many people and the overwhelming reaction from those who I have suggested the place to has been positive and appreciative!!! Given all this and the reality that review sites like this can often be used for malicious and dubious reasons that are a long way from the intended purpose I have always refrained from ever doing this type of thing. That said I can no longer sit idly by and watch and read some of the deliberate and misleading stuff that is being suggested about this place!!! All I can say, is give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!!! Over an above that the owners should be loudly applauded for taking the giant punt they have and bringing that area of the city to life!!!Chargoal??? You rock!!!

  Went to chargoal for the first time last night after the basketball. Even though it was late the staff were more than happy to seat us. The service was great the atmosphere was great the food was delicious at a reasonable price. Definitely coming here again.   Very poor service and food was dry. Staff were extremely rude. I was appalled. NEVER going back or recommending.
