  Dined here on a Groupon lunch voucher. Entrees were garlic bread and bruschetta, for our mains beef lasagne and gnocchi with tomato basil sauce. They allowed us to change the wines for coffee. Prompt service, will be back.

  A winter’s evening and we were there for a real early dinner. The place had just opened for the night. I was not particularly hungry and had to focus my choice on a light meal without meats or pasta. I chose the risotto and did not regret it all. The tomato based gravy drizzled in flavours and yet was not over whelming. The olives were especially gratifying. Parmesan cheese shavers topped the experience. My mate was very happy with his veal scaloppine.

  I went to Gigi’s for a birthday dinner recently after previously having bad experiences with this restaurant. I ordered the Maryland Chicken, a special. It was pan-fried and served with potato wedges and kale cooked with chilli. It was quite good, the chicken was juicy and tasty and I also enjoyed the kale. However, some parts of the skin were too charred, which gave affected the taste. The portion was also a bit large, with two pieces of chicken maryland. But I guess big is better than too small.My dinner companions seemed to enjoy thier meals also. The service was also good. All in all, I’d have to say it seems like there has been significant improvement. While Gigi’s is not my favourite restauraunt, I wouldn’t mind going again if it continued this way. 6.5/10
