Really? We came to this restaurant expecting Vietnamese food. There were pictures at the bottom which showed crispy skin chicken however it wasn’t on their menu. A few things we ordered did not seem authentic. The spring rolls for example didn’t seem Vietnamese Style which I’ve experienced before and the dipping sauce definitely wasn’t that clear sweet chilli style! The food wasn’t bad, the experience wasn’t authentic as we expected. The honey king prawn was delicious but it isn’t the soft one if you’re like me and that’s what you’re used to. It’s really hard and crunchy.
Lunch time service was extremely slow considering only 2 other tables were filled. Ordered off the lunch menu (physically pointing to the menu) & having our order read back to us twice we somehow still got charged full dinner price. Trying to explain the situation, the lady was rude an with attitude only took off the rice ($5 – which was meant to be included in the dish)and snatched the card from my hand. We won’t be going back!!!
Probably the worst. The menu is well presented and with a restaurant filled with people how can you go wrong? well it was wrong – very wrong – indeed probably the worst tasting Vietnamese I’ve experienced.. Check out the photo I posted… that’s meant to be satay. I ordered a banquet for two and for entree we were given 3 children satay sticks and 4 dumsum – my partner asked whether there should’ve been 4 satay… instead of bringing another one (which was revolting and we probably wouldn’t have eaten anyway) they took 1 away and 2 dim sums away… I’ve never been to a restaurant where the take food off your plate.
Poor service and poor value for money. We popped in after a concert as a family of 5. My young children were not offered western utensils with my 3 year old expected to use chop sticks. Our napkins were taken away and they payed little attention to our table. In relation to the food we asked for all the food to come out together yet we waited 30 mins for some average chicken satay sticks and were drip feed the rest. The lemongrass prawns were lacking taste but I must compliment them on the delicious vietnamese roast duck (delicious). The bill was pricey so I wont be going back.
Loved this place. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. While not traditional Vietnamese food, still delicious and freshly prepared. Would eat here again.
Would not recommend it . The waiter dident know English , food looked like it was shoved onto a plate , no real flavours with the food . Very disappointed.
