One bad experience I can forgive, but not two in a row… twice now weve had our orders forgotten, watched while people whod arrived long after us were served their food, then been confronted with super rude staff (specifically the small blonde waitress) yes they are busy on the weekend, I get it, but must the staff role their eyes and huff when we ask nicely where our food might be?
I had decided to have a coffee on the go and stroll around shops on Queen St.! Then I realised this cafe looks so cute, friendly staff and sincerely designed interiors. They have courtyard as well as some tables at the front pavement, so I grabbed my takeaway coffee and sat on one of the outdoor table. After a sip from coffee, I had another and another (just to be sure) and I was surprised their coffee was so good! I forgot the name of the coffee they use but I will be back there for more anyway! More coffee to be sure again and food as well!
A cafe worth a skip. This place has the local traffic due to the area but surprised they are still open. They advertised aircon at the front, on 33 degree day it was not on so the back room felt like a sauna, almost suffocatingly humid. The least the owners could do is have fans or something in lieu. No service whatsoever, had to get own menus despite it being table service and ordering took a while. Asked for water glasses which arrived only at the end and overall hospitality was poor. Could tell they were under staffed. The food was tasty, had the bruschetta with avocado which was nice, no complaints whatsoever, generous serving. My Boyfriend had eggs on toast with avocado which was rock hard, a let down for him. All in all not a place I would return to, need to fix up a couple of things front of house to meet the high standards of the kitchen.
I like this quiet caf. My coffee was great, not burnt.I ordered some Middle Easter eggs benedict. I liked them very much. It was new, the egg plant was cooked to perfection and the spices transported me to back to places I miss…I like their hollistic approach to food, with cleansing juices and organic breads.I’ll come back.
This cafe sits in the heart of Queen St, Woollahra. The best thing about the place is the coffee. Locals love it; you often see long lines of people outside the big window waiting for their takeaway coffees. Food is a little overpriced but probably in keeping with the location.
