Delicious vegan menu! I had the vegan cheese burger and it was sensational! Some serious squashing was made so I could bite through the layers of hummus, onion rings, vegan patty, melted (yes it was like real cheddar) cheese, tomato and lettuce! I also tried a piece of seitan from the doner kebab and it was drenched in garlic sauce and it was delightful! Service was great and quick and bar staff made excellent recommendations. Will visit again soon to try the rest of their menu.
One of Sydney’s best pubs. Traditional feel, no pokies, friendly staff, small and fab food. They have a vegan and non vegan menu both of which are great. There is a fab Indian cauliflower dish and also a jack fruit curry. First Jack fruit experience but was great. If you’re in the area it’s the perfect place to catch up with a friend.
My work colleague and I came here for lunch as we needed a drink. Staff were very friendly and you can’t go wrong with drinks but food was average at best. My chicken schnitzel itself had no flavour and chicken was so dry. I’m also not a fan of shoe string chips. My friend who is a vegetarian was so hungry she devoured her fish fingers which is from the vegan menu.I might come back for drinks but definitely not got food as it’s pricey for what you get.
Convivial hospitality and excellent food. Have been trying counter teas at a few local pubs in the area and this one is lovely. The pan fried barramundi with spinach was cooked beautifully and complemented by the service and atmosphere. Unpretentious and warm, the venue highlights the genuine friendliness of the bar staff. Thanks Sam for making me feel welcome. By the meal’s end there was live music playing: a brother/sister acoustic blues’ duo. Too good.
Ate lunch here today with some work friends. Simple pub food but was absolutely perfect. Would definitely go back and the service was lovley too and perfect for the setting.
