I went to ‘The Boardroom’ restaurant and was both absolutely impressed by the desserts but completely devastated by the cocktails. Me and my husband shared both the ‘cherry ripe’ and ‘citris tart’ desserts and they were both so beautifully presented and tasted absolutely amazing. As for the cocktails, we ordered both an espresso martini and a ‘pretty in pink’ and for $18 a pop you would hope they would make sure to put alcohol in them. But after having the espresso martini myself and watching my husband ‘down’ the other in minutes I am quite sure something was missing from both of them. I felt 100% sober and 100% disappointed. If you’re planning on going here for drinks, don’t waste your money.

Was excited to try this place based on a menu we saw online, which turned out to be about 8 years old. I ordered mussels, which turned up with almost every beard left on. I would let this go if the sauce or accompanying bread and butter had any love or time put into them. Partner ordered the snapper with potatoes and pea purée. The potatoes were obviously precooked and then microwaved, the pea purée tasted like stale baby food. A real shame because it’s a nice location and staff were friendly.

Came for the outdoor space for our toddler and it was the perfect spot for him to race around in a safe and fun environment. We were also delighted to find we were there for happy hour, excellent prices on beers and wines – happy toddler with the playground, happy parents with the happy hour! We also stayed for dinner with the kitchen opening at 6pm. Luckily we lined up ready for 6pm because it got super busy shortly after and this was mid-week too! Perhaps opening the kitchen at 5.30pm would help as it seemed many people wanted a quick, early dinner. We ordered three steaks as they were the daily special and meant it was only $1 extra for a main steak meal for our son, rather than one of the kids meals. Chips were tasty, steaks were all cooked well and generous sizes for the daily special. No complaints from any of us, it’s a terrific venue, gorgeous location with good food, drink specials and space for children. Great spot.

Have eaten here twice now and can highly recommend. The food along with the view is great, the singapore chilli prawns went down a treat and the lamb fatoosh and prawn spaghetti were a hit! Will be back for sure

Location amazing with stellar views of the beautiful Clarence River. Bistro is of average quality, with the share plates best value for money. Great for a drink @ sunset.
