Stopping by Portman for coffee on the way to/from the train station is an absolute convenience and a steal for value. A quick batch filter coffee is only $3.90 (other places will charge up to $6), and a 20oz cold brew is only $6 – wow! Also, the coffee is always consistent, well done! The only thing I am iffy about is the food. I’ve been here twice and both times I have been disappointed. One time I had some spicy chicken wings which were quite spicy but also bland, and I had the Yakuza Scrambled Eggs which I wasn’t too impressed by – it was something I could have easily whipped up at home for less than $16. Nice presentation though, and the fried lotus on top was yummy.Nice place though. Good for dogs. kerabeareats.com

This lovely new cafe only 5 minutes from Green Square Station has a quirky Asian fusion menu featuring bao buns instead of sourdough in most breakfast dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the WARM BREKKIE BOWL, which had plenty of Asian spices and a nice hint of chilli, and the VIETNAMESE SAUSAGE & EGG ROLL, a sophisticated step up from the Macca’s staple. My brunch buddy enjoyed the TEA INFUSED SCRAMBLED EGGS and PORTMAN SIGNATURE. And did I mention they stock BUTTERBINGS?

Popped in here for a healthy brekkie. They have super interesting options and a lot have Asian influence like the bimbi bab. I got the healthy bowl with crispy kale, enoki mushrooms, charred brown rice, kimchi and a bao. It was topped with a fried egg. Its a really nice dish that could be enhanced with a side dressing perhaps. The waitress was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. Coffee was pretty good too. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Cute little shop tucked away amidst Zetland’s residential streets. This newly opened space serves great coffee and brunch. For the weekly special menu we were lucky to taste the truffle infused mushroom bruschetta and the truffle infused beef burger. We didn’t get to try the variety of lattes that they have but will definitely come back for them!

Cute cafe tucked away near green square station at Zetland. The donuts and cookie sandwiches are delicious and the coffee has a creamy and nutty flavour. We are yet to dine in but the brunch and lunch selections have some of your favorites with a twist.
