We have been here many times and starting to become regulars. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Sydney. Staffs are very friendly, caring and provide nice service everytime. We love sushi, lotus sandwiches, chawanmushi and all of desserts they have. We will come back here again shortly.

Not many Japanese diners in Sydney do more than sushi, teriyaki chicken and katsu these days. This place puts in the extra effort and has a chef capable of fronting both sushi and more traditional Japanese eats. Warm up with Wagu/seafood shabu shabu hot pot with friends. Ramen and udon also available to those needing extra winter comfort – comes complete with spiced ‘lava egg’. They have all the usual stuff for those who like tempura, katsu, Japanese salads etc…Winter time is also the beginning of the sea urchin harvesting season and the chef here has made this unique meat available to try as $4 sushi or $8 sashimi. It’s a really unique taste and texture – creamy and briney like a mixture of caviar and oz-tongue from a delicatessen: I actually really enjoyed this and will definitely try it again. Huge beer and sak selection and best of all super friendly staff in a cosy atmosphere. Ticks all the boxes. Only thing I wish they had was a good suki yaki- this is almost impossible to find in sydney these days (bar Wagaya in newtown)

The quality of food was reasonable. Service was tops, with a friendly attitude. However, me and my partner went for the hot pot which states that it serves 2-3 people. On top of that we got a few other sushi dishes. The hot pot was filled up with cabbage and a very, very minuscule portion of the beef. We had only four-five bite sized slices and the hot pot was finished. After dinner, I was still very much hungry and had take out on the way home. Highly frustrated, and dinner ended with a high bill! Food portions are highly under-portioned.

Very friendly staff and nice food, specially the sashimi because was very fresh. I also had the fish hot pot for first time and they explained very nicely the best way to eat it. Thanks for a lovely evening.

I love this place. They have really tasty Japanese food. Bit pricey although food quailty, hostest and variety is A+. Try the soft shell crab, it is great!

Live in the city, but drive here because the Suishi is so good. Restaurant is super clean, service impeccable and great value. Choice of dishes and quality of the ingredients is so good and clearly made fresh. Great job, everyone from Sydney should make the effort to visit.
