Vic and Vino is a pocket-sized venue that only accommodates 40 diners and a few on stools that are scattered about. And while the set-up is very casual reminiscent of a pintxo bar (a venue offering bite-sized snacks and drinks) youd find in Northern Spain the food takes its cues from the broader modern Mediterranean. Expect snacks such as Tarama on tapioca chips with smoked roe. Chorizo and sardines are cooked over the searingly hot la plancha grill, as is the King Prawns, which is served with parsley, garlic and olive oil. Theres also patatas bravas and chilled fava beans, with creme fraiche and mint. The bars name gives an indication of what Elle hopes her latest venue will offer guests. The Spanish see tapas as a way to bring people together, tapas bars are such a social place to come and meet friends over great food. The dishes focus on simplicity and freshness. Vic and Vino is intended as a place to pop into for a couple snacks before heading on to the next venue
