Authentic South Indian food. Friendly and prompt service. One of the best restaurants in Darwin. We ordered 4 entrees and 4 curries with 4 Naans and rice. I loved the Andra Chilli Chicken which was hot and spicy.
Consistently good Indian food and pleasant service. Wine reasonably priced. Sometimes can book out but most weeknights its fine to just rock up. Takeaway also available.

Food is very bland. Not an authentic Indian restaurant. Too much importance given to presentation and not flavour. The food does not justify the high price.
We decided to try Saffron on a Sunday night when it was just too much effort to cook. We were pleasantly surprised by what we received. After hearing great reviews about Saffron, we were expecting great Indian food. They did deliver! The entree (chicken tikka) was moist and the three dressings complimented the chicken greatly. My barramundi curry was amazing – light and yet spicy; absolutely delicious. The goat curry my partner had was also had that right amount of salt and chilli; so flavoursome. They do use biodegradable tableware and use locally sourced ingredients; a nice eco friendly touch that I personally haven’t seen done in many restaurants. Will definitely be returning, and I’ll be enjoying the leftovers today!
My favourite Indian restaurant in Darwin! The food is authentic and always fresh, flavourful and up to standard. The staff are lovely, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. I’ve certainly never been disappointed, and I love the fact that just by walking past outside you can smell the Indian spices and cooking from the kitchen!
Delicious, delicious delicious.Best indian in the NT.Its on the fancy side but if you are just going for mains its reasonable price wise.Very filling.
